In 1973 Wayne Steimle, founder of California Pools, created and patented the first PVC spa jet for gunite application. This original jet was called the M2000 and became the standard in every gunite spa built by his company.  As time passed, other builders who were familiar with Wayne, through his association with the Master Pools Guild, began ordering from him for their own needs.  Because of Wayne’s knowledge of the industry these same builders asked him to purchase common products for them as well. Although the original assembly process was a back-room operation at the pool office, the demand was so great that Master Supply was established as a separate company in 1976. 

Always searching for solutions to his company’s everyday problems, Wayne continued to invent and patent other useful products that are still used in today’s cutting edge swimming pools such as templates for designing pools, water barriers for return lines, and tools for Turbo Clean in-floor cleaning systems.

Master Supply has grown since its humble beginnings into the main supplier for California Pools equipment needs.  Having a close relationship with California Pools allows Master Supply to listen to those everyday challenges similar to the ones Wayne faced.  Master Supply continues to look for the solutions to those problems.
